A top price for John R. Hamilton - as previously expected
In May 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Dean Martin between takes in his dressing room, "The Silencers" by John R. Hamilton. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,872.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Dean Martin between takes in his dressing room, "The Silencers" is the most expensive artwork by John R. Hamilton that we have observed at auctions so far.
