Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Seated Male Nude by John R. Grabach. The price achieved of USD 701.25 (€ 658.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 500.00 – 900.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John R. Grabach achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pennsylvania in May this year with an auction result of USD 57,600.00 (€ 54,064.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seated Male Nude von John R. Grabach zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 701,25 (€ 658,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 500,00 – 900,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John R. Grabach erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pennsylvania im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.600,00 (€ 54.064,20).
