This artwork by John R. Grabach achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2020. In the American Art auction, the work Backyard Spring sold for USD 10,710.00 (€ 9,139.78) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by John R. Grabach have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pennsylvania in May this year with an auction result of USD 57,600.00 (€ 54,064.20).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John R. Grabach erzielte im September 2020 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Backyard Spring für USD 10.710,00 (€ 9.139,78) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John R. Grabach auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pennsylvania im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 57.600,00 (€ 54.064,20).
