Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work River lansdcape with church spire beyond by John Pedder for GBP 282.00 (€ 446.07). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Pedder achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Corrie Kinloch, Sutherland; and Loch Merkland, Sutherland in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 3,120.00 (€ 4,661.56).
