Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Australian four Figures V by John Peart was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2008. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 5,040.00 (€ 2,942.09). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Peart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Light and Shade, which sold at auction in August 2003 for AUD 15,275.00 (€ 9,023.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Australian four Figures V von John Peart wurde im August 2008 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 5.040,00 (€ 2.942,09) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von John Peart mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Light and Shade beobachtet, die im August 2003 für AUD 15.275,00 (€ 9.023,73) versteigert wurde.
