This work without title by John Peart was sold in the THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION auction at Christies in Sydney in March 2006. It achieved a price of AUD 7,767.50 (€ 4,584.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 55%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by John Peart; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Light and Shade sold at auction in August 2003 with the realized price of AUD 15,275.00 (€ 9,023.73).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von John Peart wurde im März 2006 in der Auktion THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION bei Christies in Sydney versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 7.767,50 (€ 4.584,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 55%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von John Peart; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Light and Shade im August 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von AUD 15.275,00 (€ 9.023,73).
