Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Yarrow Landscape by John McNairn was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October last year. It achieved a price of GBP 828.75 (€ 965.48), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. Admittedly, works by John McNairn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Borders Landscape in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 6,042.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Yarrow Landscape von John McNairn kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 828,75 (€ 965,48) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John McNairn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Borders Landscape im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 6.042,21).
