Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cañón Glade (Soft Maples) by John Marshall Gamble was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in November this year. The price achieved of USD 5,376.00 (€ 4,928.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Marshall Gamble achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shore Coryopsis in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 182,000.00 (€ 214,470.89).
