Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calve Beach, Isle of Iona by John Lowrie Morrison was sold in the Scottish Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in May last year. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,099.88), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by John Lowrie Morrison have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work High Summer at the Moorings, Isle of Iona in May 2021 with an auction result of GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,900.95).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calve Beach, Isle of Iona von John Lowrie Morrison wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Scottish Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.099,88) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Lowrie Morrison auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit High Summer at the Moorings, Isle of Iona im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.900,95).
