Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A Female Nude In A Wooded Landscape by John Longstaff. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 717.00 (€ 1,061.17). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Longstaff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Master Rupert Ryan, 1898 in August 2021 with an auction result of AUD 61,500.00 (€ 52,118.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Female Nude In A Wooded Landscape von John Longstaff zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 717,00 (€ 1.061,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Longstaff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Master Rupert Ryan, 1898 im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 61.500,00 (€ 52.118,64).
