Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Summer Cottage by John Joseph Enneking was sold in the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in July 2002. The price achieved of USD 4,780.00 (€ 4,879.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Joseph Enneking achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coaster's Retreat in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 76,375.00 (€ 87,847.94).
