Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Spring Landscape by John Joseph Enneking. The price achieved of USD 8,400.00 (€ 6,966.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Joseph Enneking achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coaster's Retreat in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 76,375.00 (€ 87,847.94).

Im September 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Spring Landscape von John Joseph Enneking zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.400,00 (€ 6.966,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Joseph Enneking erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Coaster's Retreat im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 76.375,00 (€ 87.847,94).
