Admittedly, works by John Hoskins have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A gentleman called Inigo Jones, in black gown, white lawn collar with tassels, black skull cap, long curling brown hair, moustache and small pointed beard; pillar and landscape background with castle in the distance in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 36,500.00 (€ 51,109.44).
