Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hill Under Large Cloud by John Hitchens was sold in the 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE auction at Christies in London in October 2003. The price achieved of GBP 470.00 (€ 686.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Hitchens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work From Deep Shadows in March 2007 with an auction result of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,478.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hill Under Large Cloud von John Hitchens wurde im Oktober 2003 in der Auktion 20TH C BRIT ART INC. WORKS FROM THE STUDIO OF HILDA CARLINE bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 470,00 (€ 686,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Hitchens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit From Deep Shadows im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.478,06).
