The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,182.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Gibson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A WHITE MARBLE BUST OF GEORGE WATSON TAYLOR in October 2019 with an auction result of USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,290.90).
