The work Trenton Platform by John Fulton Folinsbee was sold in the American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 65,324.01) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Trenton Platform is the most expensive artwork by John Fulton Folinsbee that we have observed at auctions so far.
