Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peonies by John Fulton Folinsbee was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2016. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,098.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Fulton Folinsbee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trenton Platform in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 65,324.01).
