Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Children Playing By A River, A Milkmaid With Cattle Beyond by John Frederick Tennant. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,843.25). Admittedly, works by John Frederick Tennant have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Hunting Party In An Extensive Landscape in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,191.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Children Playing By A River, A Milkmaid With Cattle Beyond von John Frederick Tennant zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.843,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Frederick Tennant auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Hunting Party In An Extensive Landscape im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.191,23).
