Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Morning at the yard, A pause at the pond; a pair by John Frederick Herring Junior was sold in the British and European Art auction at Bonhams in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,193.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Frederick Herring Junior achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Steeplechase: The Wall in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 99,500.00 (€ 117,417.98).
