Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A crowded stockyard by John Frederick Herring Junior was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April last year. The price achieved of GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,507.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Frederick Herring Junior achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Steeplechase: The Wall in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 99,500.00 (€ 117,417.98).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.780,00 (€ 4.507,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
