Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Horses Eating from a Manger with Pigs and Chickens in a Farmyard; and Horses Drinking from a Water Trough with Pigs and Chickens in a Farmyard by John Frederick Herring Junior was auctioned at Christies in New York in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,710.00 (€ 10,164.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Frederick Herring Junior achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Steeplechase: The Wall in June 2001 with an auction result of USD 99,500.00 (€ 117,417.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Horses Eating from a Manger with Pigs and Chickens in a Farmyard; and Horses Drinking from a Water Trough with Pigs and Chickens in a Farmyard von John Frederick Herring Junior kam im April letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion.
