Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2000 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Fishing for Minnows by John Frederick Tennant. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,287.50 (€ 8,381.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by John Frederick Tennant have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2007 the work A Hunting Party In An Extensive Landscape was auctioned for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,191.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fishing for Minnows von John Frederick Tennant zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.287,50 (€ 8.381,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
