Die Arbeit Still Life With Pineapple, Oranges And Nuts von John F. Francis kam im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.490,31) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John F. Francis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life: Yellow Apples And Chestnuts Spilling From A Basket im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 374.500,00 (€ 269.056,69).
