Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year Bonhams held the auction DiscoveryInteriors | Bonhams Skinner, which included the work Untitled Abstraction by John Eyre. It changed hands for a price of USD 165.75 (€ 150.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Eyre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Great Hall, Royal Hospital, Chelsea in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,564.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion DiscoveryInteriors | Bonhams Skinner durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled Abstraction von John Eyre zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 165,75 (€ 150,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20,00 – 200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Eyre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Great Hall, Royal Hospital, Chelsea im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.564,55).
