Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by John Edmund Buckley could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2003 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures and Works on Paper auction, the work Loch Katrine, Perthshire changed hands for GBP 76.38 (€ 109.66) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Edmund Buckley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dartington Manor House, Devon in December this year with an auction result of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 4,423.53).
