A top price for John Edmund Buckley - as previously expected
In December this year Bonhams in London held the auction FootballThe Beautiful Game, which included the work Football on the Village Green by John Edmund Buckley. The price achieved of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 4,423.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Football on the Village Green is the most expensive artwork by John Edmund Buckley that we have observed at auctions so far.
