This artwork by John Alexander achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2010. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Last Flight of the Heron sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,896.36) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by John Alexander have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Good Fences Make Good Neighbors in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 60,000.00 (€ 52,947.41).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Alexander erzielte im Oktober 2010 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Last Flight of the Heron für USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.896,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Alexander auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Good Fences Make Good Neighbors im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 52.947,41).
