In August 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Scottish and Sporting Pictures, which included the work Heptu Bidding Farewell To The City Of Obb by John Duncan. The price achieved of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 177,391.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Heptu Bidding Farewell To The City Of Obb is the most expensive artwork by John Duncan that we have observed at auctions so far.
