Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Four panels from the Sneaton Castle altarpiece, the central panel depicting Christ in Glory, the other three St Colman, St Bee and the Archangel Gabriel by John Duncan for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,619.46). This price was achieved in the auction The Neil Wilson Collection: A Romantic Vision at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Duncan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Heptu Bidding Farewell To The City Of Obb in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 177,391.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Four panels from the Sneaton Castle altarpiece, the central panel depicting Christ in Glory, the other three St Colman, St Bee and the Archangel Gabriel von John Duncan für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.619,46) erwerben.
