This artwork by John Duncan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2004. In the The Scottish Sale at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh auction, the work Wind from the Sea sold for GBP 7,170.00 (€ 10,319.60) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Duncan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Heptu Bidding Farewell To The City Of Obb in August 2007 with an auction result of GBP 120,000.00 (€ 177,391.69).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Duncan erzielte im Oktober 2004 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Scottish Sale at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh wurde die Arbeit Wind from the Sea für GBP 7.170,00 (€ 10.319,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Duncan erzielen.
