Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Farmhouse Inverted In Mark Issacson'S Venini Vase, Stone Ridge, Ny, 1990 by John Dugdale was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2008, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,408.79). Admittedly, works by John Dugdale have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'Self-Portrait In Rondout Creek' in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 11,250.00 (€ 10,262.73).
