In June 2017 Sothebys in Paris held the auction Art Contemporain Vente du Jour, which included the work Giamella by John De Andrea. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 62,500.00 25% above the upper estimate. Other works by John De Andrea have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 146,500.00 (€ 101,905.95) in May 2011 for the work Sitting Woman.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2017 führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Art Contemporain Vente du Jour durch, in der auch die Arbeit Giamella von John De Andrea zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 62.500,00 und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von John De Andrea haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 146.500,00 (€ 101.905,95) im Mai 2011 für die Arbeit Sitting Woman beobachtet.
