In March 2002 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures, which included the work Lahore by John David Revel. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,410.00 (€ 2,304.98), 41% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John David Revel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work At the casino, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 2,937.50 (€ 4,802.04).

Im März 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures including Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lahore von John David Revel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.410,00 (€ 2.304,98) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von John David Revel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit At the casino beobachtet, die im März 2002 für GBP 2.937,50 (€ 4.802,04) versteigert wurde.
