Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by John Craxton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in December 2020. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Winter Landscape, Dorset sold for GBP 4,462.50 (€ 4,985.01) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Craxton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Summer Triptych (Boy on Wall, Girl on the Seashore, Goat and Tree) in June this year with an auction result of GBP 343,300.00 (€ 399,542.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Craxton erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Winter Landscape, Dorset für GBP 4.462,50 (€ 4.985,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Craxton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Summer Triptych (Boy on Wall, Girl on the Seashore, Goat and Tree) im Juni diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 343.300,00 (€ 399.542,10).
