The work Boy on a Wall by John Craxton was sold in the Modern British Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in June 2019. It achieved a price of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 168,622.25), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Craxton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Summer Triptych (Boy on Wall, Girl on the Seashore, Goat and Tree), which sold at auction in June this year for GBP 343,300.00 (€ 399,542.10).

Die Arbeit Boy on a Wall von John Craxton wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion Modern British Art Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 168.622,25) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Für andere Arbeiten von John Craxton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Summer Triptych (Boy on Wall, Girl on the Seashore, Goat and Tree) beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für GBP 343.300,00 (€ 399.542,10) versteigert wurde.
