Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Purple Star) (unframed) by John Copnall was sold in the British. Cool. auction at Bonhams in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,160.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by John Copnall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abstract Forms On White No.1 in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,426.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Purple Star) (unframed) von John Copnall wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion British. Cool. bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.160,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Copnall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Abstract Forms On White No.1 im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.426,74).
