Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Abstract: Yellow, Pink, Purple and Green (unframed) by John Copnall was sold in the British. Cool. auction at Bonhams in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,450.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by John Copnall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abstract Forms On White No.1 in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,426.74).

Die Arbeit Abstract: Yellow, Pink, Purple and Green (unframed) von John Copnall wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion British. Cool. bei Bonhams versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.450,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Copnall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Abstract Forms On White No.1 im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.426,74).
