Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Study for Nocturne by John Copnall. The price achieved of GBP 1,083.75 (€ 1,294.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by John Copnall have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abstract Forms On White No.1 in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,426.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study for Nocturne von John Copnall zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.083,75 (€ 1.294,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Copnall auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Abstract Forms On White No.1 im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.426,74).
