Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2010 a collector was able to acquire the work On The Derwent, Cumberland, Silver Summer by John Clayton Adams for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,102.03). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Clayton Adams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The harveters return, which sold at auction in May 2000 for USD 17,625.00 (€ 18,894.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2010 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit On The Derwent, Cumberland, Silver Summer von John Clayton Adams für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.102,03) erwerben.
