Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2011 Christies in London held the auction The Sunday Sale: The Collection of the Late Mr Peter Michallat, which included the work A summer's day on the river by John Clayton Adams. The price achieved of GBP 812.50 (€ 911.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Clayton Adams achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The harveters return in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 17,625.00 (€ 18,894.73).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 812,50 (€ 911,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden.
