Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sans Titre by John Christoforou was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in March 2012. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 965.00 21% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Christoforou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Panique, 1973 in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 15,990.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sans Titre von John Christoforou wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 965,00 und damit 21% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Christoforou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Panique, 1973 im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.990,00.
