Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sans Titre, 1978 by John Christoforou was auctioned at Artcurial in March 2013. It changed hands for a price of EUR 772.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Christoforou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Panique, 1973 in June 2009 with an auction result of EUR 15,990.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sans Titre, 1978 von John Christoforou kam im März 2013 bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 772,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Christoforou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Panique, 1973 im Juni 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.990,00.
