In the The Poetry of Crisis; The Peter Nahum Collection of British Surrealist and Avant-Garde Art 1930-1951 auction, the work Clarabella sold for GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,166.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Cecil Stephenson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bright Triangles, which sold at auction in November 2019 for GBP 47,500.00 (€ 55,776.61).

In der Auktion The Poetry of Crisis; The Peter Nahum Collection of British Surrealist and Avant-Garde Art 1930-1951 wurde die Arbeit Clarabella für GBP 15.600,00 (€ 23.166,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00.
