In March 2001 Christies in London held the auction 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART, which included the work The Firework Display by John Bulloch Souter. The price achieved of GBP 4,112.50 (€ 6,635.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by John Bulloch Souter have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2001 the work The fortune Teller was auctioned for GBP 7,990.00 (€ 12,892.67).
