Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Sunday Sale - Property Removed From a Chelsea Townhouse, which included the work Gondola Yard by John Bulloch Souter. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,944.47). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Bulloch Souter - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The fortune Teller, which sold at auction in March 2001 for GBP 7,990.00 (€ 12,892.67).
