Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Unknown by John Brunsdon was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 132.00 (€ 195.90). Other works by John Brunsdon have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in December 2006 by the work Unknown at GBP 216.00 (€ 320.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Unknown von John Brunsdon im Dezember 2006 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 132,00 (€ 195,90) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von John Brunsdon wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Dezember 2006 die Arbeit Unknown mit GBP 216,00 (€ 320,57).
