A top price for John Brunsdon - as previously expected
The work Unknown by John Brunsdon was sold in the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in December 2006. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 200.00 – 300.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 216.00 (€ 320.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Unknown is the most expensive artwork by John Brunsdon that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Unknown von John Brunsdon wurde im Dezember 2006 in der Auktion British, Continental and Russian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 216,00 (€ 320,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
