This artwork by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2005. In the Twentieth Century British Art auction, the work Tuscany; and nine further works by the same hand sold for GBP 660.00 (€ 973.30) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300.00. Admittedly, works by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Olive Trees in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,858.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge erzielte im Oktober 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Tuscany; and nine further works by the same hand für GBP 660,00 (€ 973,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Olive Trees im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.858,07).
