The work Trees, Deya, Mallorca by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge was sold in the Twentieth Century British Art auction at Christies in London in October 2005. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,769.64), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Olive Trees, which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,858.07).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Trees, Deya, Mallorca von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge wurde im Oktober 2005 in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.769,64) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Olive Trees beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.858,07) versteigert wurde.
