Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Place House; and nine further works by the same hand by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge was sold in the Twentieth Century British Art auction at Christies in London in October 2005. The price achieved of GBP 384.00 (€ 566.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Olive Trees in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,858.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Place House; and nine further works by the same hand von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge wurde im Oktober 2005 in der Auktion Twentieth Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 384,00 (€ 566,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Arthur Malcolm Aldridge erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Olive Trees im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.858,07).
